About me

or: a small (not so) collection of thoughts, detours, and things i care about.

I've always loved pretty things.

Not just pretty pretty — but functional, thoughtful, meaningful things. The kind that make sense when you look at them, use them, live with them. UI design, fashion, interior spaces, album covers, websites that feel nice to scroll through — all of it scratches the same part of my brain.

I'm a front-end engineer now, for a little over four years, mostly living in the React ecosystem — but if I'm honest, my heart has always hovered somewhere between design and code.

Back in high school, I thought I'd end up studying interior design.
I applied. I passed the interview. I got the spot.
I almost packed my bags.

But life had other plans (and parents with strong opinions).
My dad, a computer science guy, nudged me toward IT.
There were times I wondered how interior design would've worked out for me. But looking back now, I'm also glad I'm here.

During my degree, the subject I enjoyed the most was HCI — Human Computer Interaction. That was the moment I realized: oh. This is where design and technology meet. That's when UI/UX and frontend started to blur into one path for me.

Turning design into code

My first real taste of building things in the industry was during my internship — a small WordPress microsite.
Nothing fancy.

My first full-time role after that was also as a software developer — front-end, of course. Somewhere along the way, I realized I genuinely enjoyed turning design into code. There's this very specific satisfaction in taking something visual and abstract and making it real, interactive, usable.

So I followed that path. Naturally.

But deep down, I've always wanted to combine both worlds — UI/UX and front-end — because to me, they're inseparable.
Good design doesn't stop at Figma.
Good code isn't just about logic.
It's about how something feels.

A few non-work things, because balance matters

I run on caffeine — coffee, matcha, chai — depends on the day, depends on the mood.
I love music. I've crossed paths with people, cities, and versions of myself through it. These days I'm more paced (age, probably), but if my favourite band is playing somewhere across the world and I have the chance — I'm going.

I like picking up new hobbies. Some stick, some don't — and I think that's okay. I tried bouldering and wall climbing once and somehow got hooked for two whole years. I've stopped for a while now, and I miss it. Hopefully I won't be too rusty when I go back.

Lately, I've been learning how to swim (because somehow I never did), and I'd love to get a diving license someday.
Pilates and hot flow? Love them.
Am I consistent? Debatable.
I'll start again soon.

Some days I'm productive and moving.
Some days I'm horizontal and binge-watching.
Balance, baby.

I believe in balance — in life, and in work too.

I've been lucky to work with global, multicultural, agile teams — the kind that are serious about delivery but still know how to laugh. Four years in, I've learned that great work happens when people feel comfortable, trusted, and respected.

I care deeply about doing good work, but I also believe good work shouldn't cost your entire life.

I know how to be serious.
I know how to have fun.
And I always get the work done.

This portfolio is a small collection of things I've built, learned, and cared about. It's not perfect. Neither am I. But everything here was made with intention.

but in the pattern of shadows, the light, the mind behind it.”
